AARON P. DUFFY
RESIDENT DIRECTOR FOR STERLING GAINS CAPITAL
Aaron P. Duffy serves as the Resident Director for Sterling Gains
Capital, where he plays a critical role in steering the fund's
current and active portfolio management. Born and raised in the
greater Seattle area, Aaron brings an edgy, dynamic approach to his
work, influenced by the region's innovative spirit. With British
citizenship granted by descent through Her Majesty's decree and
royal assent, he embodies a blend of American ingenuity and British
tradition, making him uniquely suited to navigate and bridge global
markets.
Aaron has cultivated a distinguished career in international finance, where he has managed a broad range of multi-million to multibillion-dollar projects. His expertise spans operating industrial estate developments, large-scale township projects, and petroleum asset management. Aaron’s portfolio also includes pioneering initiatives in underwater engineering, guiding international Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) clients, and advancing digital investment banking and fintech solutions.
One of Aaron’s notable achievements is his special relationship with the largest private Islamic bank in Southeast Asia. Through strategic advisement, he has facilitated significant financial transactions that align with Islamic finance principles, strengthening ties with ultra high net-worth individuals (UHNWIs) and families in the region. His deep understanding of these markets, combined with his ability to engage with top-tier financial institutions, underscores his value to Sterling Gains Capital.
Aaron’s academic journey includes studies in Comparative Economics & Islamic Finance at Trisakti University, Jakarta, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Law from The Evergreen State College, Washington, USA. JAMIE TANNER
DIRECTOR, STERLING GAINS CAPITAL
Jamie Tanner is a seasoned business development strategist with over 30 years of experience in guiding companies through transformative periods of growth and change. As a Director at Sterling Gains Capital, Jamie plays a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction, leveraging his extensive background in finance, energy, and international markets to drive sustainable growth and forge high-value partnerships.
Jamie’s leadership at Sterling Gains Capital is characterised by a pragmatic approach to business development, focusing on delivering high-impact, value-driven results for both the firm and its partners. With a personal philosophy centred on integrity and strategic insight, Jamie continues to be an invaluable asset to the firm and its stakeholders.
Jamie’s career is marked by several key achievements, including leading the business development strategy for KENTECH, where he increased the sales backlog from $7 million to $75 million, and, secured a $200 million commissioning opportunity in Kazakhstan. His strategic acumen also led to the successful expansion of BWIC into the Indonesian market, where he spearheaded a $250 million subsea pipeline project.
Raised in Ohio, Jamie’s early interest in global business was nurtured through his education at Ohio University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major, in Marketing. His passion for international markets was further, honed during his time at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland, where he completed a Master’s degree in Drilling and Well Engineering.
